In 2024, online advertising in the United States generated a total revenue of about $260 billion. Roughly 40% of that market was generated through search advertising, followed by display ads with 30% of the market, and video ads with 24%. Mobile ads generated approximately 2/3 of the online advertising market revenue. Search is also the leader among the mobile online ad formats, followed by video and banner ads.
